Join us for a special Sunday celebration of what God is doing at Journey Church. This will be a fun, family-friendly event that will give us a chance to gather together while still social distancing and staying safe.
This will not replace our weekly gathering, which will be live on Saturday, May 23rd at 5:00 PM.
To keep this event as safe as possible, we ask that you and your family remain inside your car at all times. Because of construction, we do not have restrooms available on site.
Throughout history, believers have stacked stones as way of remembering God’s faithfulness even through difficult times. Joshua and the Israelites stacked stones at the Jordan River to remind them how God led them through the desert to their land. Moses set up twelve stones at Mount Sinai. Samuel built a rock memorial at Ebn-Ezr, a place that literally means “stone of help” to remember answered prayers. Later, Peter referred to Jesus’ followers as “living stones, being built into a spiritual house.”
Today, we remember the dark months when we were scattered to our homes by a worldwide virus. Though we experience fear and hardship, so many of us have found a deeper relationship with Jesus in this time. In this place and new building, he has shown his promise for us as his living stones.
The families of Journey stack their stones here so that they will remember God’s faithfulness for as long as we gather in this place. We stack them in gratitude. We stack them with hope for the future.
If you call Journey your home, we invite you to contribute a stone. If you like, paint your name on it or maybe thanks for a promise kept. Then, join with us on the next part of our journey to discover and share the love story of Jesus.
