Krista Barre

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Krista Barre moved to Nashville after graduating from Taylor University in 1993 in search of an adventure. After beginning a career as a freelance writer and a brief stint in the music business, Krista discovered a passion for art and the role our imagination plays in our relationship with Christ. A curator of art experiences for children for the past 20 years, Krista is continually stunned by the wonder that is experienced when a child sees the world in a new way. Paying attention to those moments with children has deepened her passion for the wonder and peace that comes from letting yourself be loved and delighted in by God and continues to grow her understanding of what being a follower of Christ means – a way marked by hospitality, justice and love.

Krista has been married to Nick for 27 years and they have raised 3 sons in Franklin, TN. They have attended Journey Church since 2012. She currently spends her time working with a non-profit in Franklin, The N.O.O.K., an organization that supports the children of the Franklin Special School District and Williamson County Schools. She loves a good story, a good cup of coffee and sharing a belly laugh with friends. She still loves a good adventure.
